How To Spot A Scam, and How To Avoid One From Happening

Taking the extra steps to help protect your information. 

With the growth and evolution of technology, it’s no surprise that scammers are everywhere. We have a service that helps to monitor your account.

We may text, call or email you if we have a question about a recent purchase. We will only every ask you to verify the purchase. We will NEVER ask you for the card number, expiration date or cvv. Do not give this information to someone that you think is us, not even the last 8 digits of the credit card.   

Here are signs that a call may be a scam:

  • They will oftentimes pretend to be from an organization that is familiar like the IRS, Medicare, or even your financial institution.

  • They will use technology to change the phone number that appears on your caller ID so it can’t be tracked back to the scammer. Remember, you can always hang up and call us directly.

  • They often say there’s a problem with your account and need you to provide your account or other personal information.

  • They will pressure you to act immediately to create a sense of urgency during the phone call. They want you to act quickly before you have time to think.
